Rachel Corrie

Who is this Rachel Corrie? Do anybody have a clue? Wait, don't Google it. Corrie was a peace activist died at the age of 23. So, what is special out there? Please have a look at this words below.

I’m here for other children.
I’m here because I care.
I’m here because children everywhere are suffering and because forty thousand people die each day from hunger.
I’m here because those people are mostly children.
We have got to understand that the poor are all around us and we are ignoring them.
We have got to understand that these deaths are preventable.
We have got to understand that people in third world countries think and care and smile and cry just like us.
We have got to understand that they dream our dreams and we dream theirs.
We have got to understand that they are us. We are them.
My dream is to stop hunger by the year 2000.
My dream is to give the poor a chance.
My dream is to save the 40,000 people who die each day.
My dream can and will come true if we all look into the future and see the light that shines there.
If we ignore hunger, that light will go out.
If we all help and work together, it will grow and burn free with the potential of tomorrow.

Just have these lines in your hand and open the video. You will know how this dream made some part of the world to be in peace for a while, later.

These were the words told by Corrie on her 5th grade and she turned out as what she spoke on that day. She was crushed to death at the age of 23 by an Israeli bulldozer on 16 March 2003, while undertaking nonviolent direct action to protect the home of a a Palestinian doctor, his wife, and three children from demolition. Some die and create a history and Rachel is one of them.

You simply get touched to her innocence by the way she spoke on her 5th grade. It was her dream and still it is a dream. There exists a play house theater in London called as "My name is Rachel Corrie". How many of Corries are there in this world? How do we know them? Do they want to die and mark their presence like Corrie? No, please. If we find a real human working for peace, let him to do and get him the help. Who taught Rachel about this thought on her 5th grade and just think what our country's 5th grade children will be thinking?

Homework, school, playstation, movies, parents, etc. Ahhh. Why do we lead a selfish life like this and why do we spoil the next generation too? I see thousands of mothers in this world who just thinks in this way! Nothing wrong to think about their kids, but don't make them hard hearted. We do not wish all our children to be a Rachel. We need just a heart and mind to let people like Rachel to work! Give your children about what is self discipline and morals needed in life. We really hide these things and live in this world. Children's mind are like a fresh white paper. Right from the time they grow up, all the instincts will be written in the mind and it will be reflection for their entire life. So, all we need to do is to give them the moral values of life and atleast be a good human infront of your children alone.

We do not want any peace activist to create a history by their death.
